Trustchain.one

Proof of origin, captured in the field

Trustchain.one captures evidence of origin at the moment and place it happens (in the field, on the farmer’s own phone) and seals it so that anyone can check it later.

Why it matters

Where food comes from matters more than ever

Shoppers want to know where their olive oil, pasta, tomatoes and wine really come from. Retailers and brands have to be able to prove it. And the farmers who grow genuine, local produce deserve credit for it, especially when cheaper imitations carry the same label.

Today much of that proof still rests on paperwork filled in after the fact. A form can say a harvest came from a particular field, but it can’t show that anyone was actually standing in that field. Trustchain.one closes that gap.

How it works

From field to verifiable certificate in four steps

01

Register the farm

Farmers record their holdings and parcels in the Trustchain.one app: which fields they farm and what they grow, from durum wheat and olives to tomatoes, citrus and vineyards. Trustchain.one flags overlapping claims to the same land, so disputes surface early rather than at the point of sale.

02

Capture the moment

At harvest, or at any key moment in the season, the farmer opens the app in the field and takes a capture. In a few seconds Trustchain.one gathers several independent signals:

  • the phone’s satellite position
  • the phone itself, checked to be genuine and unmodified
  • photos, fingerprinted the instant they are taken
  • the surrounding context

03

Weigh the evidence

The Trustchain.one Proof-of-Location engine doesn’t simply take the phone’s word for it. It compares the independent signals, asks whether they agree, how strong each one is and whether any looks tampered with, then applies a published, versioned rule set to reach a clear decision: pass, or try again. A position the phone merely reports can never outvote the satellite evidence, and a pass requires evidence Trustchain.one has verified itself.

04

Certify and share

A passing capture becomes a certificate with a QR code. Anyone (a buyer, an inspector, a shopper in a store) can scan it and open a public verification page, in Italian or English.

Proof anyone can check

What was checked, and what wasn’t

The verification page marks each type of evidence plainly as verified, not checked or failed. Trustchain.one never dresses up a missing check as a passed one. Behind every certificate is a tamper-evident record:

Sealed into a transparency log

Using the same proven technique that secures the web’s security certificates. Once an entry is in, it can’t be quietly edited, deleted or backdated.

Signed and independently cosigned

No single party, Trustchain.one included, can rewrite history unnoticed.

Anchored to public timestamps

Including the Bitcoin network through OpenTimestamps, so the date of a record can be proven for years to come. Legally qualified European timestamps are next.

Checkable without Trustchain.one

Anyone with the proof can verify a certificate independently, without relying on Trustchain.one’s word.

Built on Europe’s own technology

Independent signals, cross-checked

Galileo authentication

Trustchain.one includes support for Galileo’s authentication service (OSNMA), which lets a receiver tell a genuine satellite signal from a spoofed one: Europe’s answer to fake GPS positions.

Copernicus satellites

Field observations from Sentinel-2 can be compared with the farmer’s claim, for example whether the crop’s growth stage fits the season.

Phone integrity checks

Confirm the capture came from a genuine app on an unmodified phone, not an emulator or a tampered device.

Private photo cross-checks

A vision model running on Trustchain.one’s own hardware checks the photos, so farm images stay private.

Designed for fairness and privacy

Farmers stay in control

Private by default

Personal details and exact coordinates are kept out of public records. The public page shows the proof, not the private data behind it.

Honest by default

When evidence is incomplete, Trustchain.one says so and asks the farmer to try again, rather than issuing a certificate it can’t stand behind.

Rewards for participation

Each certificate earns the farmer reward points in the Trustchain.one programme, recorded in a secure ledger and traceable back to the certificates that earned them.

No lock-in

The trust layer uses open standards and public anchors, so the proof keeps its value beyond any single platform.

Who it’s for

Real proof behind real origin

Farmers and cooperatives

A simple app that turns genuine local production into proof that buyers can check.

Brands, processors and retailers

Origin claims that can be backed up, one scan at a time.

Certification bodies and inspectors

A clear evidence trail showing what was checked, when and by whom.

Shoppers

A QR code that goes beyond marketing and leads to real evidence.

Where we are

Running end to end on our test platform

Trustchain.one has been built from the ground up on a modern, secure architecture. The complete flow, from signing in on a phone to capturing in the field and receiving a decision, runs end to end on our test platform. It has been through an independent-style critical review and a hardening round.

Built

  • a mobile app for farmers
  • a scoring engine that weighs evidence against a published rule set
  • certificates and a public verification page
  • the tamper-evident trust log with public time anchoring
  • a rewards ledger

Next

  • live phone-integrity checks with the app stores
  • European qualified timestamps
  • calibrated satellite cross-checks
  • field testing with Galileo-authenticated receivers
  • pilots with farmers and cooperatives in southern Italy
